Zetor has been officially known as Zetor Tractors since January 1, 2007. It is a Czech Republic-based agricultural machinery manufacturer. Engine parts are produced for this brand in our factory.

Zetor 

Zetor was founded in 1946. The company is headquartered in Brno, Czech Republic. It is a company that produces tractors and tractor components. HTC Holding has been its sole shareholder since 29 June 2022.

It has sold over 1.3 million tractors in its 76-year history. The product portfolio consists of six model series with power outputs ranging from 40 to 160 horsepower. 

It is also the first manufacturer to develop and produce tractor safety cabins, Zetor.

This brand is represented abroad by seven organizations in North America, the United Kingdom, Poland, Slovakia, Germany, France and also in India. In 2015, the company directed 86% of its total production abroad. It exports its products to France, England and Ireland as well as traditional markets such as Slovakia, Poland and Germany. 

Brands Of Zetor

  • Forterra: Forterra series are tractors equipped with four-cylinder engines for heavy-duty use in agriculture and forestry. The first models were introduced to the market in 2008. 
  • Zetor Proxima: The Proxima series is a model introduced in 2004. Zetor is considered as a universal agricultural tractor using four-cylinder engines. It can be used with agricultural machinery, industrial adapters and agricultural transport. It is mostly used in farming and forestry areas.
  • Utilix and Hortus: These are the models introduced in the first quarter of 2018. These new tractors are smaller and lighter at the same time. It has four-cylinder engines with power outputs between 43 and 67 hp (32 and 50 kW).
  • Zetor Crystal: The Crystal model was launched in 2015. This model of Zetor, which did not produce a six-cylinder tractor for a long time, is a six-cylinder model. It has a power output of 144 to 163 horsepower (107 to 122 kW). In addition, the engines are equipped with 24-valves and trap fuel injection.
  • Major: The Major series is the model released in early 2002. They are tractors with a power output of 80 horsepower (60 kW). It is a fairly simple model. It has even been appreciated for its reliability and low operating costs.

What is Engine?

Engines are systems that convert electricity, gasoline, diesel and also LPG energy materials into mechanical energy. They enable the vehicle to move by converting energy materials into motion energy.

What are the Engine Types?

Engines come in three types. These are:

  • Internal Combustion Engines
  • External Combustion Engines
  • Electric Engines

Internal Combustion Engines: It was developed by Christiaan Huygens and his assistant Denis Papin in 1673. Electric ignited and water cooled motors were developed by Etienne Lenoir in 1860. It consists of various parts.

The internal combustion engine has a very complex structure, but every part works in an orderly manner. The parts of internal combustion engines are as follows:

  • Spark plug: These are the parts that ignite the compressed gasoline and air mixture in the combustion chamber.
  • Cylinder Block: It is the part that forms the main body.
  • Air filter: It cleans the air taken into the engine.
  • Piston: It is located in the spaces inside the cylinder block.
  • Manifold: Manifolds also have two different types as intake and exhaust.
  • Crankshaft: The crankshaft, located between the engine parts, converts the vertical movement into circular rotational movement.
  • Camshaft: Responsible for the timing of the piston valves.
  • Valve: Valves consist of two different types. These are the intake valve and the exhaust valve.
  • Piston Rod: These are the parts that allow the pistons to move. They transmit vertical power to the crankshaft.
  • Carburetor: It provides the mixing of gasoline and air in the form of steam in the amount desired by the driver.

External Combustion Engines: The fuel used burns outside the engine. After the fuel is burned, the energy generated is transmitted to a different fluid. Then this fluid heats up and energy of motion is obtained. 

Electric Engines: They convert electromagnetic energy directly into motion energy.
