The Ebro brand was established in 1954 with the aim of producing British designed Ford trucks. Clutch parts are produced in accordance with this brand in our factory.

Ebro

The forerunner of the Ebro brand was Ford Motor Co. in Spain in 1920. It is a company established under the name of SAE. In 1929 the name was changed to Ford Motor Ibérica SA. In the period up to the Second World War, buses, cars, tractors and trucks belonging to the Ford series were assembled and sold at the same time in Spain under the Ford brand. Therefore, the parent company of Ebro trucks is Motor Ibérica.

Ebro was established in 1954 to manufacture British designed Ford trucks based on the ThamesTrader ET4 4X2 and ET6 6X4 models belonging to the Ford brand in the 1950s and 1960s. Cooperation with Ford England continued until 1965.

In the late 1960s and early 1970s, Ebro acquired four Spanish light vehicle manufacturers. Purchased vehicle manufacturers are as follows:

  • Aisa (Avia trucks),
  • Fadisa (Alfa Romeo Romeo minibuses),
  • Vias (various Jeep 4x4s and Forward Control utility vehicles)
  • Siata (minivans derived from the SEAT automobile)

It also took over the Spanish branch of Perkins engines.

It also entered the agricultural tractor market with a license agreement with Massey-Ferguson. In this way, Motor became the main shareholder of Ibérica.

In the 1980s, six models of the E-series trucks with a gross weight of 3.5 to 11.2 kg and the P-series with a gross weight of 13 to 27 kg were introduced to the market. At the same time, the production of the lighter Avia series continued.

At the end of 1979, due to the economic crisis, Massey Ferguson sold its 33% stake to Nissan. In 1981, the agricultural machinery division was sold to Kubota. Today it is traded under the name Ebro - Kubota. At the same time, Nissan increased its current stake to 55%. In 1986, Nissan acquired Ebro Motor Ibérica entirely. Accordingly, the name of the company was changed to Nissan Motor Ibérica in 1987.

It is the system that transmits the thrust from the engine to the wheels in vehicles with manual transmission. Thanks to this system, the thrust of the engine can be used efficiently. When the vehicle reaches a certain speed while driving, the clutch allows gear changes.

Clutch parts are produced in accordance with the Ebro brand in our factory.

What Are Clutch Parts?

The parts that make up the clutch are as follows:

  • Clutch lining

As HARS Traktör A.Ş, we produce the spare parts that make up the clutch system in our factory with superior quality.

What are the Duties of the Clutch?

The clutch has various functions in the vehicle. These are;

  • To ensure smooth movement of the vehicle by transmitting the movement of the engine to the wheels gradually during the first start.
  • Temporarily interrupting the transmission of motion from the engine to the gearbox to change gear while the vehicle is in motion.
  • Disconnecting the engine from the powertrain when necessary
